What color-quality tuning covers
Color-quality tuning makes a camera reproduce accurate, consistent color across scenes, lighting and devices. We calibrate and profile the color stages of the ISP and then verify the result numerically, so colors match a known reference rather than only looking plausible.

Shoot a color target such as a ColorChecker under controlled lighting

Account for the light source, lens and exposure used in the real setup
Verification with deltaE
We measure the color error patch by patch as deltaE — the distance between the reproduced color and the reference color. Lower deltaE means more accurate color. For archiving and cultural-heritage work the target values follow standards such as ISO/TS 19264-1, FADGI and Metamorfoze.
